A Firefighter. A Teacher. A Doctor. A Marine Biologist. Most children spend their days dreaming of what they want to be when they grow up. For children battling cancer, these dreams become something bigger. They become something to fight for.
The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation is dedicated to eliminating childhood cancer by funding research to help find a cure. The NPCF funds research to fast-track less toxic, more targeted treatments. Only 4% of the billions of dollars the government spends annually on cancer research is directed towards treating childhood cancer.
Every year the NPCF shines the spotlight on children battling cancer with a fashion show that allows them to tell their stories and share their dreams for the future. Along with an up-close look at the latest fashion trends, guests will enjoy live entertainment, dinner, and a chance to talk with passionate community leaders about the cause.
For the past five years, Force Marketing has been a sponsor of the fashion show with many of their employees in attendance. Force President and CEO John Fitzpatrick has been a member of the board of directors since 2016. John’s wife, Kristina Fitzpatrick of Headline News’ “Morning Express with Robin Meade”, emcees the event.
This year’s “Fashion Funds the Cure” event was held on Friday, August 20 at Eagle Rock Distributing Company in Norcross, GA. Learn how you can become a sponsor, attend the event or donate to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation here: https://nationalpcf.org/.
